Knit Half Square Triangle Pillow - two sessions
We love quilty motifs in knitting and the Stella Quilt Cushion by Laura Penrose takes traditional half square triangles to create a lovely knit pillow cover. The pattern itself is stellar - with coloring sheets so you can plan out your cover, video tutorials for when you get stuck or need clarification, and a variety of techniques to help you succeed in creating and joining these blocks. If you are interested in learning German short rows, this is also a great project for doing just that! You will need to knit between sessions.
Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: Adventurous and Confident Beginner/Intermediate. You know how to knit and purl. You have confidence picking up stitches or you aren't afraid to ask for guidance!
- We provide: the space and expertise.
- You bring: a copy of the pattern, DK weight or fingering held double (Main Color - 284 (250)g motif 1 / 260 (240)g motif 2 plus 40 (50)g for envelope closure, Contrast Color - 66 (70)g motif 1 / 88 (80)g motif 2), and US6 and US8 circular needles. Don’t forget that we always offer 15% off class supplies!
- Class length: 2 1/2 hours each session for a total of 5 hours.
